While cleaning out a side-room/walk-in closet to turn into a small sleeping space for me, we found some of my old reel tapes. If I can find a reel-to-reel machine, I might find some lost music recorded in the early 1990's.

Almark *now that's a thing that's great to know.

B. HasemeyerWould be great for some music video footage.

Been slowly transferring important files off the PC and onto this iMac, which I've christened the iHoover for its loud fan. And drinking coffee.

Almark *funny

B. HasemeyerI'm considering not getting another PC or Mac and just plugging my equipment into this android for my new album. No kidding.
Just running FL Studio

Almark *but that works

Jason NorwoodYou know, I thought about trying to produce something on Garageband on my iPhone. It's just too....compact. I'm just too used to doing things on a full-size screen and computer.

So I've been suffering from dead tech lately, my computer's PSU having given up the ghost. So I'm passing the time on a 2010 iMac, trying to make a 15 year old computer relatively useful to me (save for recording, which is on indefinite hiatus due to the tech disaster). Surprisingly, it works better than any 15-year old PC, with the caveat of having to find old versions of software I normally use.

Almark *glad you joined good sir, yeah I remember you talking about it. They are making some really nice mini PC's these days for the dollar, about 400 if you look for them. Even Mac Mini M1 used are a real steal now.

testing, testing, ahem….and so I am here. :)

Almark *good to have you (sir)

B. HasemeyerWelcome Jason
