Artist Directory has made it to the final phase, and holding at 82%.
The final features are being woven into the system.
Once this is complete you will have control over your living profile, and a functional EPK.

Our EPK feature inside of the living profile (back of your portfolio) will have links directly connected to your music.
For MP3, WAV, or other files you need.
All your social media and links are added as well according to what you choose from the panel.

Google drive, and other platforms will be used to link your music to our artist directory.
At the same time, embed players will also be showing from there, for more things you'd like to showcase.
At that time there is the featured album, new or old where the artist can choose to feature, add bio and extensive info below the caption. You can add your story, about your album, your work, what inspires you - there is no limit.

All which you can click to request release on our label/s and internet radio, all at your leisure.
This all comes to a point where the artist who already wishes to be on our radio or label now has a means to showcase everything they do while maintaining artist freedom to the greatest degree.
Controlled by you, with a export of your whole profile you can download and even re-upload when you need it, just in case you want to redo or things may have been lost, all your data will be safe with us from our database or with you.

As these features roll out and becoming working additions, artists can test the EPK / living profile by going to their dashboard and clicking the right-most arrow, it takes you to the next part.
    More info soon.

    What is artist directory?

The front facing discovery page will show artists side by side.
Once you click a persons photo or 'card' you are brought to their portfolio. This is Artist Discovery page or the front view.
In here is where you find an artist to listen to and learn about who they are. Discovery is met by clicking a growing list of genres, sub-genres and micro-genres at the top, helping you decide by those artists only showing.

Inside your profile: for the artist.

    1. Artists can create a grand marquee, maybe a YouTube video to showcase your best work.

    2. In a simple manner adding URL's into the populated bar, will give you embed players linking to soundcloud, bandcamp, Nina, Spotify, Apple and more, as these will be expanded later.
    The Living EPK

    3. On the back side is your Living Profile, and a extensive EPK that moves with you. As you grow as an artist you can add your story, your links, what you're done, etc. If you need more room to add more material and info about your music, you have that power to create just by posting and building. Links to your work, links to your PDFs, MP3's all in your control without uploading through us, simply use google drive or others.

    4. the back side will also allow you to click and expand making your music story as long as you need it with no limits because everyone has limits they decide.
This is free as in beer, and 'We are the New Underground' is sure to grow with you. It is a gift to the indie / DIY scene. Artists are already taking adv of this and helping test with us before it is ready.
If you wish to take part in our 12 year history, please say so below, if that excites you.

Artist directory is coming soon and we together all scream NO into the darkness! We are the New Underground. You will be heard.

    This is real: This exists.
What you are seeing is the artist portfolio page.
This hasn't been shared on FB or anywhere public yet.
This is the page the artist is greeted with when they register and create an artist name, bio and etc.
In here you can paste a URL from the Bandcamp, YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, and others as they are coded into the website. As you paste the URL each embed player populates accordingly with what you drop in. Got a song you want showing, just paste the URL.
You see separators between each platform.
All of these are 'embed players"
If you wish to take part in testing the Artist Directory, please contact me either here or at Almark page.

This is the most serious thing #WEATNU has ever done, and I believe it's going to help the DIY in a big way once it's completed.
    #siteshout

#WEATNU is growing and that means you will grow with us. Some of you have grown with us since the start of that day in the Summer of 2014.

We're expanding the right way, and without partners, but with additions to our own eco-system, we have other communities plugin and will do more of this in the future.

While doing so, we exist as radio, label, and magazine. These tools all from within our movement are vast when you zoom out and take a birds eye view.

As a movement and machine We are the New Underground functions to empower the artist to freely display their msuic to a place where it may have found 'dead ears' but fear not, what we have created will become even more helpful to you.

We believe in giving these things freely to the artist and will continue to do so for years to come. There was a large hole before (wet new) #WEATNU existed, and that hole has been filled.

In the year of 2014 - We are the New Underground set out to create a digital music scene, just the same as artists in the real world playing venues. Its vision was that artists online could be their own venue, and a movement would be set on fire and not be put out. - I believe this starting to happen.

The DIY scene needed a place to prove it existed. You're that circle that was hidden away from the internet, scattered across endless websites and far to see places, even, obscure forums, crowded YouTube, old school twitter, SoundCloud lost at in the sea of artists among Bandcamp and the like..

These artists are the lifeblood of our organization, we have become a friend to the artist these 12 years. It has been a privilege to help them. Even as an artist myself, #WEATNU will help me find others to listen, just as it will help you find others as well. Thank you for believing in what we do.

The DIY scene is a new underground, a digital one. One that has existed since the internet was born, where artists are hidden away. Some are greatly talented in that scene, and that's important to us.

We are radio | label | magazine - We are the New Underground - since 2014.

( And this part is only for those in this website
I believe because you are coming back to us - it is no accident, you're fulfilling what we set out to do. )

The coming 'Artist directory' has become a passion no an obsession with me - the WEATNU Hub was the social gathering, but the Directory is the artist's placement center for all to see. Once this is done, We are the New Underground, will have reached its 12 year apex as a movement, as a function for the artist, a needed thing.

The movement that set-out to 'level the playing field' for the DIY /Indie scene, and free to them, will have succeeded in all it attempted.

We needed a radio, label and magazine, a structure and building to house these individuals. Everything from that moment forward will work and function directly from our two websites, weatnu. com and weatnurecords. com

Just like the music industry, we're the DIY indiestry, - We are the New Underground. - Formed Summer 2014.

We are the New Underground is celebrating its 12th year as a movement, as the formation of #WEATNU and all we do. In commemoration of that 12th year from the Summer of 2014, we are dedicating and posting the Roots of #WEATNU while mentioning their names and music they are working on. This also will go in phases from year to year, and into our 2nd phase 2018 and beyond.
We are very excited about this, as we approach our Artist directory which will include our roots first and give them access as artists to add their music and profiles from weatnu.com, afterword an article to be written directly from our WEATNU Digital Magazine will be published. Without these artists we wouldn't be here.
