We are not niche silly AI systems, - We are the New Underground.
The younger generation is making #WEATNU come to life, being young at heart and older, I knew they would one day find us, and find us they have!
A plant whithers once the water stops, social media was once water and the flow ended years ago, #WEATNU was languishing until we left the parasite that was killing us, and worked from within our roots, our artists, in their private messages, contacting people all the way back to 2014 via email and letting them know, we are still here, we haven't left and we're moving ahead bigger than ever.
This year is the year that We are the New Underground continues moving where we left off in 2016, while we have had label and magazine even the radio since 2018, our label never stopped. Now all 3 are here, with radio #1 it's sure to give the artist a place, a home, an abode to connect and post their work without someone telling them what they can or cannot post. There are no rules here, it's only your soul that matters. Showcase radio is coming and that means your music will be played on mixcloud.com taking us back to our roots of 2014 - 2015, see that show below our last one

My dream has been fulfilled, it took 11 years but it's happening, thanks to you. We now have a place to live and breathe, release and achieve greatness, a radio that excels with each new artist, each community plugging into #WEATNU each artist spreading the word. We are the bleeding edge - We are the New Underground.
JuZ ShoWSo good to see that WEATNU, and it's record label be the first to have it's own social media platform just for musicians. I was looking for a place like this for years. Then you did it - Someone I know has the right idea. It is a beautiful thing, and I am grateful for it.
Almark *good to have you JuZ, thankful you care. I was wondering 'why doesn't anyone have a social music website'

Honestly, using the old weatnu.com was a good idea, because people who are new to the movement can't type weatnurecords too hard.
Looking back on archive.org before weatnu.com shutdown in 2016, I see we were a lot more than we became.
That simplicity remained with us since we returned in 2018, but now that I look at the stuff we did have, it's very helpful. Artists may have been listed and people can register with us, so we can ensure they remain on a database of the kind of music they create, giving them ways to show their bio's and what not.
Some might call that EPK and rightly so I believe that is what we did, without the audio files attached. Just a long list of artists and the genres' they produced.
Other parts of the website had FAQ which I can access from there. Each part gave people a better understanding. Most just think we are a label but if that were so, I wouldn't have a magazine too or radio. There will certainly be improvements on weatnu 2.0. website. I was 10 years younger back then, + 1 so yeah, I was new to the game, learned a lot since then, I understand what makes #WEATNU work and how to help artists better than before. It was a free for all?
Yeah... it was chaos, those who were here remember, chaos in numbers. So many artists were going through us, but I don't regret helping them. We can do a lot for the artist if things are done right and the website we have will be the key. #WEATNU is now completely on its own, we must survive by our own wits and devices. FB and all social media has shut us out entirely, in one way or another this is how we do it. Working from within and with people privately is the only way it's going to get done.
Already people are spreading the word - again - thanks to the radio. Thank you for that.
