for over 11 years I have had to watch my words online, keep a close eye that no one will be offended by my Gen-X lingo, well now I have to say one thing, they can stick it, Glad I can just talk again here.

#WEATNU is like - step into my other email and we'll sign you up on this branch of the building :D
If Meta could they would use their powers to look inside of every website that exists, because Zuck is a madman, a Roman Caesar who wants to step on the little people just for gold. Your secrets and privacy posts are only seen with your eyes and others who you show them. We're more secure here than FB I believe that. Building the Hub was the right move, I see that now, FB has locked out WEATNU entirely from posting, on comments, posting to friends outwardly not privately, not yet, but that's something I believe in time they will remove as well, sadly those are connections and right now I'm going to each connection privately and asking them if they want to take part in us and building up the movement.
Looking back I see what we had in 2016 that we no longer have. - now I realize why the movement stopped and I closed all we did other than the label which cost 0 dollars.
Donations stopped coming in, and I could no longer afford to run what we have, but later I realized how to get it back without having to do all that.
inmotionhosting was overcharging us. I left and later created weatnurecords.com where it's stationed at interserver now where all things this website is connect to resides. It is only 27 dollar (per year) got lucky one year on black friday and now every year I only pay that, where as the other host was charging us about 20 or more per month.
While the label continued from that moment on, we lost all of those who promoted the movement #WEATNU.
Without our affiliates we lost the push to find new audiences - it appears that at one time by my memory we were needing around 150 dollars per month in donations to keep things going. One web host and from which I remember that wasn't cheap and we had radio in those days that cost us 15 dollars per month, while running 6 radios.
The label was booming, I remember at one time it was making 2k per year in just sales before we paid our 70% to the artist. We lost all of that to 2020, our sales have dropped by 80% even higher as people no longer buy music from us much these days. We still get sales, and still have artists join the label/s we have people release to the radio. Social media killed this movement - I am trying to figure out how to bring it back to life.
Affiliates were people who were simple help, either they had a passion for the goal of helping the indie artist or they were close to others who could help. We had an army - we were separated all of us, and from what I see most of those people are no longer helping the underground artist. If people do not help push the movement, it will remain in the place its in.
I believe though once the old website becomes functional we may see some uptick so I need to find new people who want to push us past the invisible. Groover is also helping as I take in more from there for the radio, and they report to others they are on the radio that's a huge bonus.
Seriously minded folk are who I am seeking out right now, and if you know anyone please let me know. #news
More history from old pulls Copyright © 2015 #WEATNU - WEATNU is a underground Electronic movement that is changing the Internet.
Let's take you back to 10 years ago, interviewed by Nessi Holt about #WEATNU back then. Listen here https://www.mixcloud.com/synthoelectro/nessi-holt-interview-with-weatnu-founder-almark/
this place may never get a lot coming in but one thing is certain #WEATNU will help people regardless with the other things we do, the radio the label, magazine articles, reviews, showcasing coming soon to weatnu.com - the old website is coming back to continue forward where we left off.
Dan PruettHigh foot traffic on a site like weatnu.com or the free sharing of our music, art and ideas here within this online community will eventually lead to Weatnu Records being well funded and fully capable of printing vinyl LPs of it's new releases. Almark man, this thing is truly a wonder to behold! Just six months ago this secure safe incredibly slick site didn't even exist. Now you're speaking of giving weatnu .com an overhaul and let it be a splash page for like 4 or 5 of Weatnu Records' currently featured artists. This will fundamentally change those artists lives, as well as how they feel about Hub and interact here. What I'm getting at is, as you make brush strokes on a canvas, proverbially programming or sending artists hand-typed, individual emails, I sometimes wake up and feel like I have to defrag my old Windows 95 PC and watch the little defrag animation gif for four hours before I catch up to what I was on about yesterday. Because we are your artists (I think I can speak for most of us). We dig it. We are the new underground. Almark Theolen, with leadership like yours, there's literally no way to know what can happen now monetarily for Weatnu Records or any of its past, current or future artists.
Almark *thank you friend, that's a very thoughtful representation of what we're doing now. When I folded the movement in 2016, I didn't close the door, the movement continued but only a few artists released per year. It was a big break. As I look over old interviews and listen to what I did I can figure out where I left off. It's this big puzzle, I'm bringing back where I left off. We're not starting over we are continuing. It starts with the recreated website, and using that as the method, as you will find, it was working out, it was making an impact it will again. Once I tell people we promote the artist directly for the website, no one has to join the label that's up to you. About the 1995,I stated the internet full swing in 1997, when I built this website I wanted that feeling to come back and you see, it did.
Because we have weatnu.com - and looking back over the years, I have some ideas for that website that I think will truly benefit people. They won't be confused but it may become a place to showcase artists in general.
We have a forum, the forum WEATNU Network was here a few years before this website the hub.

By not having anything to compete against (leaving the internet, social media Spotify, lack of care against YouTube.) I have nothing to worry about.
Music was always my friend, competing is my enemy, as I no longer have competition, I have happiness, and my music returns. That's more important to me.
The internet is a distraction against me, what we need is a place to drop music and forget about what others say.
I see in various places such as FB, Threads, and IG places that remind me of the work I'm not getting done, the songs I haven't finished, but as I exit those places I do get my work done. The radio is the place to drop music without others telling you how they feel. We chase fame and acceptance our entire life and leave behind the music we first loved. I can't do that any longer.
Dan PruettWell stated. I feel much the same way. I've still got to bite the bullet and send a bunch of my new songs to the WEATNU OUR and I will when I have time. A great relief and satisfaction, I'm sure, will come from doing just that. Then I will feel the freedom to begin writing and recording brand new music.
Almark *thank you, I was looking over the ip logs yesterday and found that a lot of people over the years listen to our radios.
