LUFS mastering is killing music, here you have a perfectly good song sounds good, as it progresses and gets closer toward the end, the track vol goes up and on a slope, louder and louder. Every single remaster alive now is doing this. That once great album you heard 30 years ago, is going this direction. It is really awful sounding.

JuZ ShoWYeah, I don't really concentrate on it all that much.

Almark *I think it's the industry standard, big in cinema and social media. Glad to 'hear' that ;)

JuZ ShoWI have compared my audio mastering skills with AI. I am confidant that my skills are right up there. LuF mastering? Naah. Dolby mastering? I might wanna do it for the experience. But can't afford the extra software and equiptment. Either way trust your own skills, and always find ways to be even better than you are now.

Almark *and you should, both of us have been doing this for 26 years.

the right software for the job, after 12 years I finally have software that helps me sort what i do on #WEATNU, it's so custom yet simple and needed, that I don't know how I did this that long without it.

There was a time, in the beginning of this thing, about 11 years ago when I would work so hard, I ended up getting sick from it. For 1 year and a half I didn't take a break, other than to sleep at night. Each day I would push myself to get artists heard, and build up what you see now. Now I rest, because no one is breaking a sweat waiting for you, that much I learned. I had to make sense of it all, because if you think about it, there is no reason to push yourself to death over a thing, life is precious and your time is limited.

    officially burned out.
I think some of the radio and label duties are going to take a backseat for a few days while I get the websites stuff and special software to help me sort this mess done.

Everything we do, one source, right to you. Get the #WEATNU Transmitter https://mailchi.mp/968a945a6f8d/the-weatnu-transmitter

Sometimes I worry people don't show up again because they can't get back in, because either A: they lost their password, or B: they lost their password and can't use the retrieval option, which is broken because I am not able to get the email sending to send back to the person - I'm working on correcting this, this is a framework situation and my host filters things like that. Oddly wordpress doesn't filter that, go - figure.

I do web development and installation, do you have a shared host and need your database, and Wordpress framework installed? I charge by the hour, contact me here or in chat.

I was tired of years of people thinking 'we're just a label' we are not just a label.
I'm killing the old idea that #WEATNU is just a label, no 'We are the New Underground', is a movement with radio | label | magazine. I know we're more than a label, I have work to prove it.

There comes a time when the founder can no longer do things in a speedy fashion. #WEATNU is getting bigger, more helpful additions are coming like the artist directory, and that requires some maintenance, and my admin skills are good enough but getting to people in a timely manner isn't always easy. I have backlog, sometimes I forget to get back to a person, because I was so backed up yearly. Now since our early days are coming back to us, we're about to get a lot more active. If you request anything and I'm silent, it isn't you, it's me trying to figure it out.
My duties are label manager, website admin, sometimes accounting, coding, website builder, Radio uploader and maintainer, PR, article writer, and a bunch of other stuff I can't think of now but it comes to me when needed. #WEATNU is a machine, it's self-running and gets more helpful once people find us.
    Thank you.
